The Ibero-American Design Biennial, the most important contemporary Ibero-American design meeting is held every two years in Madrid. It is the meeting point of design professionals, universities, companies and institutions from Latin-America, Spain, and Portugal, showcasing some 400 works from 22 countries during its last edition in 2014 – and covering all creative areas from fashion to graphic design, interiors and objects. During the compliation, BID Advisory Board pays special attention to sustainability, innovation and social awareness by awarding the best projects selected by an international jury. The juxtaposition of mass-produced objects and utopian creations illustrates the important role design plays in shaping the 21st century in the region.


The travelling exhibition’s Budapest edition offers a section of this vast material by presenting 60 artworks and 80 panels, with special attention to the Guest of Honour country this year: Spain. The exhibition is supplemented by talks (details: designhet.hu).

The BID - Collective Imagination (Imaginación Collectiva)'s tickets include the admisson to he Home Sweet Home and the Hungarian Design Awards and Design Management Awards exhibitions as well.
