Corning Museum of Glass is one of the world's leading glass museums. The Museum’s momentous travel exhibition New Glass: A Worldwide Survey – held in 1979 – celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Due to the jubilee the Corning Museum of Glass organised an international exhibition on contemporary glass (New Glass Now) with 100 invited artist, which opened 12th May. Coinciding with the opening of the exhibition, the Museum published the 40th anniversary issue of New Glass Review. The 2019 edition includes the New Glass Now exhibition catalogue, as well. The Museum of Applied Arts Budapest is the only Hungarian Museum represented in the catalogue with Zsuzsanna Korodi’s glass picture Harey II.

Harey I-II. by artist Zsuzsanna Korodi is inspired by Stanisław Lem’s iconic science fiction novel Solaris. The pair of glass pictures is based on optical illusions and was purchased by the Ceramics and Glass Collection of the Museum of Applied Arts in 2018 with the support of the National Culture Fund's Applied Art College.
