As the result of a Hungarian initiative the Art Nouveau World Day has been celebrated since 2013, and is already part of the official programme of the international Art Nouveau organisation Réseau Art Nouveau Network. On this day, several institutions from all over the world join in a series of programmes presenting this characteristic architectural and decorative style of the turn of the century. This year the art of this period will be demonstrated through dance, the culture of movement, the motion and rhythm immanent in Art Nouveau forms.

The main venue of the Hungarian events is the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts, with its series of expert lectures and the serpentine dance show performed in the Glass Hall of the Museum.

Exhibition related to the Art Nouveau World Day: Collectors and Treasures, permanent exhibition.
