The Budapest Jewelry Week displays works by leading international jewelry artists in Budapest between 28 August and 12 September. The international show is entitled ’IDOL’. Its goal is to build bridges between past and present. The BJW aims to amaze its audience after the difficult times of the last one and a half years with something without precedent in our country: the artworks by contemporary jewelry designers of the last 40 years will now be within reach, they will be on view under the same roof. This special occasion will provide the chance for those interested to receive an overview of the best of international jewelry, works by close to 30 artists from 12 countries will be on show.

The exhibition showcases artworks by outstanding artists whose oeuvres have been significantly impacting the way contemporary jewelry develops, evolves. Among others Gijs Bakker, Lisa Walker, Otto Künzli, Melanie Isverding, Ruudt Peters, Caroline Broadhead, and Giovanni Corvaja.
have been invited to present their jewels.

During the two weeks of the programme guided tours in English and in Hungarian as well as lectures by jewelry artists, curators who are well-known in the international contemporary jewelry scene will be held online or in person.
