Full-day event supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hungary. 

  • 10:45-11:00 Touched by the Dutch (2016) – debut of an audiovisual composition instrumented with bicycle components by VJ Júlia Baranyai and noise musician Chris Allan Tod. The video will be on a loop, available for viewing at any time during the day.
     
  • 11:00-11:30 Presentation by Dutch designer Laurence van Seventer, creator of the Bikeology exhibition’s highlighted work of art, the Drama Queen chandelier, on the topic of her atelier Lolo Palazzo and her work in general.
     
  • 11:30-14:00 Workshops with the artists and open bicycle accessory market
    Ursuslupus: Creation of reflective visibility accessories for women, with the use of recycled materials with Orsi Jeney, founder of Ursuslupus
    Recyclock: Jewelry-making from bicycle chain with Balázs Kis, artist of Recyclock
     
  • 12.30-14:00 Workshop by Laurence van Seventer, head of Lolo Palazzo design studio in the Epreskert metal workshop
    Host: sculptor István Drabik, studio leader of the metal workshop of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts

  • 15:00-16:00 The role of modularity and flexibility in contemporary (cargo)bike designing process – The perspective of a Dutch cargo-manufacture by interaction designer and bicycle enthusiast Tamás Cselényi on the Amsterdam cargo-scene
    Tamás Cselényi has been living in the Netherlands since the early 2000s, where he manages a cargo bike manufacture.
     
  • 16:00: Keynote Speech by H.E. Gajus Scheltema, Dutch Ambassador to Hungary
     
  • 16:05-17:00 Guided tour with the curators of the exhibition
     
  • 17:00-19:00 Screening of Riksaláz [Rikshaw-fever] (2012), a film by Gergő Somogyvári followed by a panel with the creator
    Every day, 40-50 Hungarian rikshaw drivers hunt for passengers in Amsterdam. The engaging and sensitive report-documentary presents the lifestyle of this particular Hungarian subculture.
