The György Ráth Villa of the Museum of Applied Arts (1068 Budapest, Városligeti fasor 12.) can be visited again from 14 September 2018, where a new permanent exhibition titled Art Nouveau – a Hungarian Perspective, displaying the finest selection of the Museum of Applied Arts’ Art Nouveau collection, can be visited.

The exhibitions can be visited with a registration ticket by

  • Journalists with valid identification 100 HUF

The exhibitions can be visited free of charge by the following citizens of Hungary or another EEA (European Economic Area) country:

  • Children under the age of 6
  • Adults over the age of 70
  • Disabled persons (1 companion is also admitted free of charge)
  • Holders of EMMI tickets
  • Teachers with a teacher’s card who work in public education
  • Members of national organisations which are connected to museums or other public collections and which have at least 400 members (Pulszky Society, Association of Hungarian Museums, ICOM, Association of Hungarian Librarians, Association of Hungarian Archivists)
  • Members of the Friends of the Museum Association
  • All visitors on 15 March, 20 August and 23 October (Hungarian national holidays)
  • People aged between 18 and 26 and children under the age of 18 with two close relatives (all citizens of Hungary or of another EEA country) when visiting on the third Saturday of each month

Guided tours for groups in Hungarian/English/French/Italian/Russian

Only trained guides of the Museum of Applied Arts Budapest can hold guided tours in the permanent or in the temporary exhibitions. If a guided tour is required in other languages than Hungarian, English or French, travel agency guides are also permitted to conduct tours if registered in advance.

Fees:

  • Guided tour in foreign languages: 20 000 HUF/group up to 15 persons

Due to narrow corridors the maximum capacity of the villa is 30 persons.
